After posting pics of the cuddly, crochet sea cow that I made for my nephew (who is ridiculously attached to his) I've had messages from people asking if they can get one.  Having finished the majority of work for The Book I finally got round to making one for sale which is available on my Etsy shop.  I've also finally written up the pattern, so if you want to have a go at making one yourself (or getting a Nan to) here's your free sea cow crochet pattern...

I can't imagine that ANYONE in the world doesn't know how popular the movie 'Frozen' is amongst all girls.  I have boys, we hadn't noticed it, moved in opposite a girl; BAM! Frozen everywhere.

I have a work colleague who had seen the crochet mermaid hair I'd made, she has a little girl who is in to?  BAM!  Frozen.  She's been looking for Elsa hair for ages, can't find any and asked if I could make something up in time for a birthday.

Of course...

I'll get the pattern on Etsy as soon as possible for Crochet Elsa from Frozen Hair (snappy).
My gorgeous and adorable husband whipped me up an extra-large crochet hook from the end of a broom handle - awesome, I know.  As a massive camping fan but also epic complainer, I always moan in the morning from being too uncomfy and cold on the sleeping mats we take with us, so in an attempt to use up some of the ridiculous amounts of yarn I have lying around I used 6 balls and crocheted them all together to make a cosy, extra layer for sleeping on.  It was BRILLIANT.  I'm trying to convince the husband ot make a few more so I can put them on Etsy and share the super crochet joy with everyone x

Got a pair made and wore them camping this weekend. They're snug and just the right amount of cosy for the cool nights.  Pattern online with the rest of the autumn  collection soon xxx
I've had an idea for ages to make little wrist warmers for autumn, but in my head they've had a cable design on them - and I can't knit for toffee.  So last night I started googling 'crochet cable' and came across and excellent youtube tutorial (will find the URL and post it soon)

And within an hour had made this!  Exceptionally pleased with self.

Immediately cracked on with first attempt at glove, and here is the first one:

Will crack on with the next one and get the pattern written up ASAP.

With all my patterns now dedicated to The Book my Etsy shop is looking a little threadbare, so I've started work on a new collection for the autumn.  The first are these exceptionally cosy crocheted moccasin slippers - it was odd putting them on in 28 degree heat, but I can't wait up get them on as soon as the chill starts to kick in, bring on autumn!
