My most lovely friend that is teaching me how to actually sew rather than fudging things together, has so far, very tolerantly, made 2 skirts and a pair of trousers with me.  This week as an excercise in how to take a pattern from something, she made a pattern of my favourite bag (read 'sack') and we stitched this puppy up in an evening.  I will work out how to make it in to a printable pdf so you can all have a copy too, but for now here's how it looks - and yes, it is made out of 80's  curtain fabric.

Here we are lovelies, and just in time for the first day of autumn (which is my favourite season, just because of the amount of knitwear you can drape yourself in).  One pattern, any feedback would be much appreciated.
